Christopher Lamb, advisor to Magen David Israel and Special Advisor to the Australian Red Cross was Guest Speaker
at the second in a series of NSW Friends of MDA's Business Luncheons held in the boardroom of Investec Bank
(Australia) Ltd.
Held on 16th November 2011, guests heard of Christopher's involvement with the drafting and negotiation of the
Third Protocol additional to the Geneva Conventions which established new emblem rules and made possible the
entry of Magen David Adom Israel into the International Movement.

new tzedakah boxes now available
|
|
The new Ambulance Tzedakah Boxes have arrived in our Sydney office and we invite current and prospective
box-holders to phone or email the MDA NSW office to swap over to the new box FREE of charge.
"The boxes are an excellent reminder of what Magen David Adom does and will appeal to young people in
particular," says Allan Bermeister, MDA NSW President. "Our MDA collectors will do their best to respond quickly.
We are always looking for volunteers in the Eastern Suburbs and on the North Shore to help with this job -
if you have some spare time, please give us a call."

We thank businesses, both Jewish and non Jewish who display the boxes in their shops and make them accessible for the small change.

Over 60 people attended this inaugural event on Sunday 21st August 2011, held outside
the MDA offices at White City.
Held to promote MDA volunteering, its success could mean that it will become a regular event.
