Masada College students have again shown their practical support of Magen David Adom's
life-saving work when a cheque for $1,000 was presented to MDA representative, Tamara Lowbeer,
at their school assembly on May 21st 2010.
The cheque, presented by school captains, Tahlia Bleier and Jarron Aizen, was the result
of the students' commitment to local, overseas and Israeli causes.
The students were visibly moved by the DVD which showcased a variety of life-saving
incidents performed by heroic MDA paramedics under life-threatening circumstances.
young mda flies the flag at the fair!
Gail Eliovson was "flying the flag" for Young MDA at the recent "Shuk Shuka" Fair,
organised by Hagshama and SZC, to broaden awareness of the many opportunities
our dynamic community has to offer.
Aimed at outgoing youth movement Bogrim (graduates), outgoing AUJS members,
returnees from Israel programs and other young adults aged 18-30, it emphasised
options for participation and volunteerism within the Jewish community.
Gail was busy all morning promoting the work of MDA and encouraging a very interested
group of young people to become actively involved.
