  • CODE RED SHABBAT - 18th & 19th JUNE 2010
Synagogues and Chabad Houses around Victoria took part in this special Shabbat aimed at spreading an awareness of the lifesaving work of Magen David Adom both in Israel and abroad.

At each congregation, either an MDA representative spoke during their service or the Rabbi included information about MDA's vital work as part of his sermon. We thank all of the congregations that participated in this year’s "Code Red Shabbat" and who continue to give Magen David Adom the support it needs to save lives.

  • KING DAVID SCHOOL PUPILS LEARN ABOUT MDA - JUNE 2010
King David School Grade 3 pupils visited the offices of Magen David Adom Victoria to learn more about MDA.

MDA's Taube Mrocki spoke to them about MDA's life-saving work and showed them photographs of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Ambulance, the MDA helicopter, MDA motorcycles and mules.

Impressed by what they saw, they began thinking about how they, too, could contribute to a new Bar/Bat Mitzvah Ambulance in the future and have their name on its doors.
