mda's blood services director to launch
mda victoria's 2010 annual appeal
Professor Eilat Shinar, Magen David Adom Israel's Director of Blood Services,
will launch MDA Victoria's 2010 Annual Appeal at function on Saturday 28th
August.
A world-renowned expert and pioneer in the field of haematology, Professor
Shinar joined Magen David Adom in 1988 and, in 1997, took over as head of
MDA's Blood Services.
In 2005, she inaugurated Israel's national Cord Blood Bank within MDA's
Blood Services division which, today, stores over 3,000 frozen units.
She is a Professor of Medicine at Ben-Gurion University and has authored
around 100 scientific papers which have appeared in professional publications.
