UNIQUE FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE
BY BETH RIVKAH STUDENTS
June 2010
|
The tragic death of young American, Nosson Deitch, has inspired two Beth
Rivkah students, Nechama Cowen and Michal Faraday, to establish Jewish
inter-school group, "Fingerprints".
The group is aimed at increasing a sense of communal unity
amongst young Jewish women, combining towards a special cause - to raise the
$88,000 needed to provide Magen David Adom in Israel with an ambulance in
memory of Nosson Deitch.

According to Michal, "To raise this money, we are holding all sorts of fundraising
events that will involve and unite the entire Melbourne Jewish community in the
same way that Magen David David caters to the whole Jewish community.
We would like to try to make something positive out of something tragicm and we feel
that it is important to make a difference in memory of this man."
