Day 8, Iron Swords War: Update of last day in Magen David Adom
Since last night and up until 18:10 Magen David Adom teams have treated 12 casualties: 6 from rocket shrapnel, a 20 year old was pronounced dead, 1 in serious condition, 2 moderate and 2 mild, in the Eshkol Region and Sdot Negev Region, 3 injured lightly while taking shelter in Nes Tziona, Tel Aviv and Beer Sheva and three suffering with stress symptoms.
Since the start of the start of the war, MDA teams have treated thousands of casualties, including those killed, as well as those in serious, moderate and mild condition, including MDA staff who were saving lives. Today (Saturday) MDA teams have remained on the highest alert across Israel. Some 1,400 MDA ambulances including bulletproof vehicles are manned by MDA staff and volunteers who continue saving lives under fire. Ambulances and mobile intensive care units (MICUs) that arrived from the United States have been put into life-saving service.
During the night, 3 MDA ambulances were damaged by Hamas fire in different locations, and at this time efforts are being made to put them back in service to continue saving lives.
MDA’s Blood Services have collected over 22,000 blood donations from volunteer donors. The blood units and components have been supplied to hospitals across Israel that are treating the victims.
Since the start of the war, MDA helicopters have undertaken dozens of medevac missions and evacuated multiple civilian and IDF casualties to Sheba Tel Hashomer, Beilinson, Ichilov, Shamir Assaf Harofe, Shaare Zedek, and Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. Following initial treatment in Barzilai and Soroka Hospitals in the South, dozens of MDA ambulances, MICUs and specialized rescue vehicles have transferred casualties in a range of conditions to hospitals across the country.

MDA paramedic and MDA paramedic course instructor in the Negev, Amit Mann, was murdered when she was shot by terrorists when they entered the clinic in Kibbutz Be’eri while she was treating the wounded on Saturday | MDA Director General: “Amit was a hero who worked to save the lives of citizens also under fire”
Magen David Adom bows its head and mourns the death of the MDA paramedic, Amit Man, a 22-year-old resident of Kibbutz Be’eri, who was shot and killed on Saturday when she was treating the wounded who came to the clinic in the town of Be’eri where she lived during the Hamas surprise attack on the south of the country. Amit was trapped in the kibbutz clinic along with the wounded and dead for many hours when the terrorists tried to break into the clinic. Amit was buried in the cemetery in Netivot accompanied by family members and hundreds of her friends.
Amit began her career at MDA in 2015 as a youth volunteer, then went on to complete a course for instructors and trained additional volunteers. 4 years ago she was qualified as an EMT and later as a paramedic within the framework of the National Service and worked in intensive care mobility in MDA’s Negev region. About two months ago she began instructing the regional paramedic course in the Negev. During her entire time at MDA, Amit acted professionally, with a great sense of duty in her work. Amit dreamed of studying medicine and continuing to save lives.
Oshrit Haddad, a paramedic at MDA and Amit’s best friend: “Amit was always there for everyone, she is someone who is simply always there, you could always trust her. On Saturday, while terrorists were shooting at them, she continued to help patients and tried to save their lives. She fought for their lives until the last moments.”

She sacrificed herself while trying to protect the lives of the patients – her priority was only what was best for them. Her untimely passing left us shocked and in pain. Magen David Adom mourns the death of Lior Levy, 19 years old at the time of her death, a resident of Dimona, who was killed in battle in the Gaza Envelope.
Lior started her career at MDA as a youth volunteer about 5 years ago, during which she helped save the lives of many. Lior initiated and trained many volunteers during her years of volunteering.

Day 4 of the Iron Swords War: MDA Activity Summary for the Day
From this evening up to 20:15, Magen David Adom teams have rendered medical assistance to 20 victims of rocket strikes in the south. The breakdown includes: 2 fatalities, 1 seriously injured, and 1 moderately injured from shrapnel in the Western Negev communities and Ashkelon. 16 others sustained minor injuries while heading to protected areas.
Since the war’s onset, MDA units have attended to thousands of casualties, spanning from the deceased to those with minor injuries. This includes MDA staff who risk their lives in the rescue operations. As of today (Tuesday), MDA units remain on high alert nationwide with 1,400 MDA ambulances – some of which are bulletproof – being operated by dedicated MDA volunteers and staff, often in the face of danger.

During the night, MDA teams provided medical treatment to 28 people who were injured in rocket attacks in southern parts of Israel. Among them: 2 in serious condition, 2 in moderate condition, 15 in minor condition and 9 anxiety victims.

Magen David Adom blood donation operation will continue to hold today blood drives in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Netanya, in the Magen David Adom blood donation area located in Tel Hashomer hospital, and in various locations which continue to update on the Magen David Adom official website.
Since the start of this war, Magen David Adom teams provided treatment to hundreds of injured, among them many who were killed,, and others in serious, moderate and minor condition.
Magen David Adom helicopters made dozens of medical evacuations, and evacuated dozens of civilians and soldiers injured in the field and from hospital in the south to the following hospitals: Sheba, Belinson, Ichilov, Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh)
After primary care in Barzilai Hospital and Soroka Medical Center in the south, dozens of ambulances, mobile intensive care units (MICUs) and Magen David Adom evacuation vehicles transferred injured in all the states of severity to different hospitals spread all across Israel.
Magen David Adom blood services staff collected thousands of blood units from civilians who came in and donated blood with the intent to supply blood to all the hospitals who will use it to treat the wounded.
It is with great grief that Magen David Adom announced the loss of senior EMT, Aharon Haimov, may he rest in peace, who was murdered yesterday in his hometown, Ofakim, from terrorists gun shots, while he was driving an ambulance on his way to save lives.
4 MDA crew members were injured by gunfire, and there are still a few whom connection with them was lost.
