In a medical emergency, Israelis rely on one organisation to save lives: Magen David Adom.

In Australia, emergency response, ambulance, and blood services are managed by a range of hospitals and agencies. In Israel, Magen David Adom does it all — from ambulance services and disaster response to blood donations — all through one national organisation.

Israel’s Lifesaving Teams

Magen David Adom (MDA) is powered by a dedicated team of 36,000 emergency medical professionals, including 33,000 volunteers and 3,000 paid staff. These EMTs, paramedics, and first-aid responders have extensive experience responding to bombings, rocket attacks, and other mass-casualty emergencies. To stay prepared, they participate in over 300 live-action drills each year, ensuring they’re ready to respond when lives are at stake.
